Individual Design Brief The group has decided to cater for female peasants of the medieval society. You are required to create part of a medieval costume ensemble for a live history event. As a female peasant, she would be required to complete chores and duties within her immediate environment, thus your garment must be able to address her busy daily lifestyle. The garment must also be suitable for all types of weather as she will be undertaking her duties indoors and outdoors, rain, hail or shine. Constraints and Considerations The following must be considered when designing your toile, costume/final design piece
Be able to fit multitude of body types
Aesthetically and functionally correct to the socioeconomic status of the persona
Materials used should reflect the time period as well as their societal status
Be of high quality or reflect the lifestyle of the persona
Be required little to no repair over the garment's life span
Budget spent in designing and creating the garment should reflect the societal status of the proposed persona.
